Susan received her B.F.A. in Metalry from Cleveland Institute of Art in 1976, coming to NYC shortly afterwards to put her Education to work. She was hired by Tiffany & Co. and joined the "Makers" team as a Silversmith in Hollow-ware in NJ (1977-1982). She returned to that role years later as the Silversmith for Tiffany's T.S.C. (Tiffany Service Center), which is an after sale alteration and repair shop. She was privileged to work on many antiques, trophies, small merchandise and hollow-ware pieces. "My focus and passion was in the preservation and restoration of the old Tiffany treasures". Susan worked for more than 20 years as a Tiffany & Co Silversmith until she retired in 2016.
She has worked with the curator of the N.Y.Y.C. on the maintenance of their collection annually from 2006 to 2017.
Susan has worked with LyMac Awards as a production assistant with machine engraving and Trophy refurbishment.
She was on staff of the Dia Art Foundation, serving as the Gallery Supervisor for their main Exhibition Space 548 West 22nd Street in New York City (1984-1999).
She has served on the Board of the Ludlow Park Resident Association. We promoted enagement in the community and social relationships by sponsoring activities such as the annual block party, and providing arts and crafts activities for community events. During the late 80's and early 90's she was the Artistic Director for "PS3 'til 6", an aftershool program.
Since retirement Susan has served as the Safe Serve Manager for the Community Dinners at the Susquehanna United Methodist Church (A Hunger Ministry) associated with the Weinberg Food Bank of NEPA.
